I have been loving Sally’s work (Sally from @_thelustlist_) for a long time (who doesn’t, right?)
So I was super excited knowing her coming to Brisbane and hosting a workshop, gotta meet her in person and learn a few tricks from her!!! Totally a fan girl 🤩
It was a lovely setup for her workshop in Skygate today. Chloebear surely did enjoy herself prior the workshop.
At the beginning of the workshop, Sally shared that she had started her Instagram page 6 years ago and how she got here today having a chance to share what she loves to do to us all.
So this is what she has done for Skygate Brisbane.
Sally shared 2 techniques to us and we gotta try out on the outline that she has prepared for us with what we have just learnt.
First, we are using the Faber-Castell Watercolor Pencil, Sally just made a really colored spot on another piece of watercolor paper (is like a trial paper), add some water on it with a water brush pen, and dilute it till the color that you desire. And that would be ready to put on the real piece.
The second tip that she mentioned would be adding the watercolor pencil lines on the real piece and blend it straight on the paper. I have tried this method, but I just had it too harsh to start off with, it didn’t get to blend at all…..well learn from mistake and more practice I suppose (like every other things in life).
I sure did had a great time today learning something from Sally. Here’s the pic from fan girl.
