Shibuya Sky, the latest addition to Tokyo’s observation deck scene. Located on the 45th floor of the Shibuya Scramble Square building, Shibuya Sky offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the city from 230 meters high. On a clear day, you can see as far as Mount Fuji, and the views of the Tokyo Tower and the Imperial Palace are simply stunning.
Here is some tips from my experience:
- Book your tickets in advance – to make the most of your Shibuya Sky experience, I recommend booking your tickets at least a month in advance through Klook (with promo code CHARLOT at checkout). Not only will you secure your spot, but you’ll also get to choose the best time slot – I opted for sunset time and it was truly unforgettable! The sky turned pink and orange, and the city lights began to twinkle like stars. It was the perfect time to take in the views and snap some amazing photos.
- Before you enter you are required to put everything in the locker so have 100 yen ready if you have a lot of stuff make sure you got more 100 yen
- No loose items can be brought in including hats and your favourite Chanel bag.
- You need a strap on your camera. They’re also available for borrowing at info desk
- The ‘Instagram spot’ is on the 2nd level but be prepared to queue. We didn’t bothered cause is a long queue and posting in front of others is not our expertise, no time limit though only crowds pressure.
- There are some indoor spots after the visit from the roof past the souvenir shop.
Shibuya Sky is more than just a viewing platform – it’s an immersive experience that combines cutting-edge technology with traditional Japanese culture. With interactive exhibits, virtual reality experiences, and even a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
